A new school with a unique history.

Cloud 9 Academy got its name from a former St. Stephen’s consignment shop that was turned into a valuable charitable foundation with a rich history and deep roots in our community. Our roots may be traditional, but we have a whole new approach.

We strive to create opportunities for children to develop healthy, positive relationships with other children, adults, and the natural world. We respect creativity and encourage children to think and respond “outside the box” and have unique expressions of their lives. We don’t just nurture the minds of children. We nurture their hearts.

Our academic approach is all-encompassing.

We are committed to developing the whole child through meaningful connections that build emotional intelligence, social-emotional skills, and school readiness. Our teachers guide students through developmentally appropriate learning experiences rich with Pacific Northwest values and traditions. Yes, we are an Episcopal school — this means we welcome all, and lead children to global awareness, spiritual expression, and respect for all people.

Hello, my name is Suzi. As the founder of Cloud 9 Academy, I’m delighted to welcome you to our community. Cloud 9 Academy is an innovative new approach to experiential learning, integrating the arts with wonder, play, and love. The ancient cathedrals were composed of everything — education, worship, art, music, and civic life. We’re more than just a preschool. As a new school, we seek to be servants to the children of Northeast Seattle and beyond. We’re a hub for families and people of all ages, together, in a sometimes divided and hostile world. We seek to guide children to maturity and provide a place where they will develop life-long friendships.
